PIOTR PIETA
Piotr Pieta obtained a master's degree in physics from the Faculty of Physics and Nuclear Technology at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and a PhD from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPC PAS) in Warsaw.
After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in Professor Jacek Lipkowski's laboratory at the University of Guelph in Canada, Piotr returned to IPC PAS, where he worked as an assistant professor.
After obtaining his habilitation in 2020, he works as an associate professor at IPC PAS, conducting his own research on the interaction of various peptides (antimicrobial peptides, amyloid β, etc.) with model biological membranes under electrochemical conditions, using spectroelectrochemical methods and high-resolution imaging techniques.
