Dr hab. Emilia Sikorska, Prof. UG, is a researcher at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdansk. Her research focuses on membrane-active peptides, particularly self-assembling antimicrobial peptides, and on the relationship between their structure, self-assembly, and biological activity. Her work also includes peptide and protein interactions with biological membranes and peptide–ion interactions. She combines experimental and theoretical approaches, with a particular specialization in spectroscopic methods and molecular dynamics simulations. She is a co-author of over 80 publications in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
